About OCH

Our Purpose:

Oceania Catholic Homeschooler exists to help parents educate their children in the Faith. We do this by sharing the real experience of homeschooling mums, and people who were homeschooled, so that all can learn a little bit more about authentic Faith-based education in the home. We also publish stories about activities and resources that may be of use to homeschoolers and others.

Our Sources:

Many homeschooling parents have been consulted in the course of producing OCH, and have given their time to be interviewed for articles. Articles draw directly on the experience of homeschooling families to give an accurate impression of what homeschooling is like.

Our Editor:

Anastasia Marambos was homeschooled for her entire life, using a classical curriculum, before completing a Certificate of Arts in Media and Communication at University of Canterbury and a Diploma of Liberal Arts in the Foundations of Western Tradition at Campion College. Currently, she lives near Christchurch, New Zealand, with her parents and nine younger siblings. She plans to pursue further study online while working. From a young age, Anastasia has been passionate about journalism, literature, and quality education.

Our Patron:

Oceania CHS is dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption, the patroness of Australia and New Zealand. Read more about Our Lady of the Assumption.
